Cold Lake Airshow – July 21-22, 2018

We are beyond excited to be at the Cold Lake Airshow this year for the first time! The airshows theme will be a salute to the 60th anniversary of NORAD. As such, the USAF F-22 will be joined by outstanding Canadian Armed Forces displays including the CF-18 Demonstration team, the SkyHawks parachute team and the world-famous Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team.

Edmonton Airshow – Aug 18-19, 2018

The Edmonton Airshow is an entertainment spectacle that celebrates both the rich history and the modern evolution of aviation, particularly in Edmonton. Elevate Aviation will be there again this year with a fun and interactive set up so be sure to come by and visit us!

 

October 20, 2018 | Elevate Women in Aviation Calendar Launch Party

Join us for our fifth annual Women in Aviation Launch Event at the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta. Decadent appetizers, entertainment, silent auction and the reveal of our Women in Aviation calendar photos. This fun cocktail style event is a great way for us to raise money while showcasing career opportunities available to women!

May 4, 2018 – Economic Security for Women through Aviation (ESWA) Project Announcement

Starting May 1, 2018, through grant funding provided by the Status of Women Canada, Elevate Aviation has embarked on a new, very exciting project aimed at changing the advertising strategies, hiring practices, and workplace environments in the aviation industry. April 27, 2018 – Yvonne Bohme Bursary Award Presentation

Yvonne Bohme was the first IFR Air Traffic Controller at the Edmonton Area Control Centre. She recently retired after over 26 years in the job and to honour her as the trailblazer she is, Elevate Aviation created a bursary in her name – the Yvonne Bohme Bursary. At this event we presented the very first recipient, a young woman looking to complete her commercial pilot license, with a $2000 bursary.

April 13-15, 2018 | Women in Aviation Calendar Photo Shoots

Our 2019 women in aviation have been chosen and the photo shoots are taking place at the Edmonton International Airport. This year's theme is mentorship and we are thrilled to have Donna Lynn Photography back as our photographer for the fourth year!

April 8-10, 2018 – Aerospace Maintenance Competition

Elevate Aviation sent an all-female team of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to Orlando, Florida for this annual competition and we made history! Alongside 2 other teams (from Pratt and Whitney and United Airlines), we were the first ever all female teams to participate!

March 1-9, 2018 – Elevate Aviation Cross Country Tour

Each year Elevate Aviation travels to cities across Canada to host tours of the aviation industry. This year as we visited 9 cities, women of all ages got to hear amazing stories and ask questions to pilots, air traffic controllers, airside operations staff, flight attendants, aircraft maintenance engineers, members of the Royal Canadian Airforce and more before a complimentary lunch and a behind the scenes tour of various airport facilities. These tours take place each year and seats fill up quickly so keep checking back for the chance to reserve your seat in 2019.
